PAKISTAN INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES (PIA) was named one of the world’s greatest airlines earlier this month after receiving a perfect score in an audit performed by European aviation safety authority SAFA (Safety Audit for Foreign-Origin Aircraft.)

SAFA performed its routine and surprise safety inspections for all non-European airlines at various airports across the globe, both on a regular and unexpected basis. Following the false licence issue involving PIA pilots in Pakistan, SAFA inspectors at major foreign airports conducted extensive investigations into the airline.
